Inspection comparison, alignment and terrain

Multi-year ILI and survey comparisons, component alignment in 3D, import updates and fixes to positioning and navigation.

Availability depends on enabled modules and datasets. API additions may not be exposed in the web app.

Multi-year inspection comparisons

  • Added inline inspection (ILI) run comparisons using unwrapped pipe grids and measured anomaly footprints.
  • Added survey campaign comparisons with linked lateral and vertical profiles, crown lines and optional ghost pipes.
  • API improvements expose multi-year top-of-pipe comparisons, survey diameters and recorded profiles, tunnel intervals, complete section metadata, survey campaign information and ILI run metadata.
  • Corrected metal-loss classification, status and category handling, anomaly-only severity filtering, category counts and run metadata synchronisation. Stale ILI positions no longer appear in application and 3D responses, and alignment evidence is presented more consistently.

Alignment & imports

  • Added component alignment in 3D using route-correlated measurements, loaded components and the latest available bathymetry.
  • Backend workflows support component-sequence matching, preview and approval, partial inspection runs and repeat alignment while preserving weld chains, source offsets and surveyed positions.
  • Multi-source component imports reconcile installation records, correlated tallies and ILI evidence while preserving source identities. Review grouped conflicts and reconcile component identity and position in the web app.
  • Added contextual ILI information, inspection creation during upload, and import history and results.
  • Fixed component identity, sequence review, alignment picker sources and length fallbacks, and preserved location references during register replacement.
  • Fixed upload recovery after workbook detection failures and import refresh ordering. Backend fixes cover EXS files with leading blank lines and pagination for large import reports.

Map analysis & geographic accuracy

  • Added span, corrosion count/depth, field-gradient, temperature and route-depth graphs. Multiple survey and ILI datasets can be selected for comparison.
  • Review crossing references, live AIS vessel traffic and external geographic layers. Supporting APIs provide cached BarentsWatch vessel traffic and shared cable and pipeline crossing data for maps and 3D.
  • Backend map capabilities include calibrated route geometry, KP-window filtering and overview counts.
  • Restored map overview and deep-link behaviour, and fixed zoom limits, KP following, marker paging and filtered indicator placement.
  • Fixed 3D orientation and heading across picking, overlays, terrain and telemetry alignment. ED50 coordinate transformations are standardised across routes, surveys and rasters, with explicit transformation policies preserved during regeneration.
  • Fixed KP navigation at loaded geometry boundaries, camera resets during chunk transitions and indefinite loading when a destination has no geometry.

Terrain & bathymetry

  • Bathymetry loads at source resolution, supported by route-aligned processing, shared raster processing and corridor masking. Pipeline-owned onshore terrain can be published and viewed alongside other spatial context.
  • Added shared terrain appearance controls, colour keys and bathymetry sections in cross profiles.
  • Corrected bathymetry gaps and no-data sounding selection, and restored survey dimensions and burial evidence used for measurements.

Asset navigation, evidence & video

  • Added a global asset selector and compact physical-property tables. Updated pipeline section and marker displays.
  • Added run coverage highlighting, interface drawing previews, and map and 3D links from datasets and records.
  • New APIs expose pipeline sections, markers, physical properties, assessment policies and recorded evidence coverage. Dataset and record details include canonical metadata, profiles, cross-profiles, video synchronisation, and field-gradient and temperature availability.
  • Improved failure reporting, partial-stream retries, playback-clock preservation and sync-camera selection.
  • Backend fixes restore document retrieval from recorded S3 buckets and correct manual and document API routes.

Performance & operations

  • Repeated terrain downloads, telemetry requests, map marker requests and table queries are now reused or consolidated.
  • Dense longitudinal-profile preparation has been optimised. A documented local test reduced median zoom/fit time from 173 ms to 39 ms; this is a local test result, not a production-wide benchmark.
  • Added persistent light/dark themes, collapsible navigation and a resizable map sidebar. Updated loading feedback and viewer controls.
